In Short
qamusi collects no personal data. There is no user account, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics tools. All of your data stays exclusively on your device.
What Data Is Stored?
The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or to third parties:
- Favorites – words you mark with the star.
- History – recently viewed words, for quick access.
This data never leaves your device. If you delete the app, it is removed completely.
Dictionary Updates
To keep your dictionary current, qamusi occasionally downloads updated word data from our server (qamusi.com). No personal data is transmitted in the process – the app merely checks whether a newer version of the word list is available and downloads it if so.
Permissions
- Internet – solely to download dictionary updates.
- Speech output – to read the Arabic pronunciation aloud (processed on the device).
- Clipboard – only when you actively tap a word to copy it.
No Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell, rent or share any data. No advertising networks, analytics services or external trackers are integrated.
Children
qamusi is suitable for all ages and collects no data whatsoever – including from children.
